Privacy

Short, because we collect very little. We do not sell your data and we never have.

What we collect, and when

Browsing the catalogue requires nothing from you — no account, no sign-up, no newsletter wall. We collect personal information only when you place an order or contact us.

When you check out, the following is collected so that we can fulfil the order:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your telephone number
• Your shipping address
• What you bought, and what you paid

The Fit Finder. When a search there finds nothing, we keep what you typed and when, together with what your browser sends every website: your IP address, the rough location that comes with it (city, state, country), your internet provider, the kind of device and browser, and the page you came from. We use it only to see what people look for that we don't carry yet. It is not linked to your name, an order or a cookie.

What we never see

Your card details. Checkout is handled by Stripe, an independent payment processor. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own systems and are never received by, stored on, or transmitted through this website. We see only that a payment succeeded, and the last four digits on your receipt.

Why we hold it

To pack and ship your order, to print a shipping label, to email you tracking, to answer you if you contact us, to process a return or refund, and to keep the business records the law requires us to keep. That is the entire list.

Who else sees it

• Stripe — processes the payment.
• USPS — receives the name and address printed on the shipping label.
• Cloudflare — hosts this site and serves its pages.

That is all. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.

Marketing

We do not run a marketing mailing list. Ordering from us does not sign you up to anything, and the only emails you will get about an order are the receipt and the tracking.

Cookies

This site uses only what it needs to work: a small amount of local browser storage to remember display preferences such as light or dark mode, and cookies set by Stripe during checkout to keep your payment session secure. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as business and tax record-keeping requires, and then deleted. Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once they are dealt with.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — other than records we are legally required to retain. Email chicksopencarry@gmail.com or telephone 864‑548‑3939 and we will deal with it.

Children

This site is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with the date it changed.
